L'A.R.T. Performing Company
(LAPC) is by audition and invitation only. This company is an open group of
dancers invited to audition from all dance schools and participate in a
community-based company that allows you to continue to study dance at your home
studio.
Prerequisites: A minimum of three years of Ballet
training. Three to Four ballet classes and one Jazz or Contemporary
class per week. Minimum age 10 years and up. L'A.R.T Dance Academy
students Levels III and IV. The audition will consist of a ballet,
jazz and some contemporary movement.

2006-2007
Capital City Dance Team Auditions
The
Austin Toros are starting their second year in the NBA Development League.
The Toros are affiliated with the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Boston
Celtics. The Toros will hold open auditions for the Capital City Dance
Team which performs at 24 home games throughout the season. The season
begins in November and ends in April. The Dance Team performs a
combination of dance and cheer routines.
The
Austin Toros welcome Terrie Meyer as the new Capital City Dance Team
Director. She brings over 12 years of experience in the areas of dance and
cheerleading and has choreographed national champion dance performances for
numerous competitions including American Dance/Drill Team.
The
Capital City Dance Team will hold auditions on Sunday, September 10 at Bowie
High School. Registration begins at 1pm. Pre-registration fees are

International
Dance
International will be holding auditions for the DanceSport and
Salsa performance teams on Saturday September 9th at 11am at the Dancer's Workshop. Auditions are free but there
is a fee if you make the teams. The DanceSport classes will start Saturday
September 23rd. This series will culminate with a show at the One World Theatre Sunday December 3rd.
DanceSport 5 will be dancing Waltz and Paso Doble, and DanceSport 4 will be
dancing Foxtrot and Cha Cha.
The
next Youth series will start up Wednesday September 13th also culminating with a
show at the One World Theatre on Sunday December
3rd.
